Team Leader Inland Valley & San Diego
As a criminal defense attorney for over 40 years, I believe the challenge of our times for attorneys is to be able to continue to vigorously represent our clients with the zeal we have always exhibited in the past and continue to meet the ever mounting new types of evidence that present in most cases due to new scientific developments and technology. It is with these factors in mind that I tailor my experience and vast education into the coming age. I embrace the changes and I am forever committed to defending those who are criminally charged beyond the best of my ability.

41 years as a Los Angeles County Public Defender, including felony trials, misdemeanor trials, juvenile, and part time and full time supervision of attorneys, paralegals, investigators and secretarial staff.
Approximately 400 jury trials and 1000 court trials. These trials encompassed a variety of charges. Most of the jury trials concerned alleged sex crimes and domestic violence.
Several not guilty verdicts in multi-count, multi-complaining witness cases for the alleged crimes of child molestation and rape. Several successful plea negotiations in similar cases where clients served very minimal or no jail time and were given probation and rehabilitative programs.
A very large number of not guilty verdicts in domestic violence and other cases.
I have handled many very complicated DNA cases where a great deal of work was done with outside experts in examining the evidence.
I have consulted with a large variety of experts in many fields, including sexual assault examination and analysis, firearms and other weapons and psychologists, neurologists, and psychiatrists.
