I started my legal career in law enforcement in 2002 as a peace officer in northern CA. There, I quickly realized how law enforcement jumped to conclusions without proper investigations and how they would focus in on a suspect to make their case, vs conducting objective and fair investigations. It was then I decided that law enforcement was not the path for me and decided to return to school and become an attorney. In 2008 I joined the Placer County public defender’s office as an intern and was able to try to verdict 5 jury trials. After graduating law school and passing the bar, I was hired as an attorney and litigated both misdemeanor and felony cases, with most having positive results. In 2012 I entered private practice and have handled everything from DUI, 3 strikes, sex case and murder cases and have now tried to verdict no less than 50 cases.
